Dramatic skies over Budby

Budby Common and the wider expanse of Budby South Forest form the largest area of ancient heathland left in the English Midlands. The dramatic skies of this mid-August walk cried out for a contrasty, black-and-white treatment.

Photographs were taken in and around the Crown Hill Plantation (OS ref SK 61907 69074). Also looking over Budby South Forest towards Pigeon Pond Plantation (OS ref SK 60914 69271).
